The [BATON airsoft] M1911A1 CO2GBB Pistol marks the fourth collaboration between BATON airsoft and legendary designer TANIO KOBA—bringing one of the most iconic service pistols in history to life in CO2-powered form.
This is not just a 1911-style replica. It is a carefully researched tribute to a late-WWII “MiliGav” configuration, recreated with obsessive attention to period-correct detail.

From markings to machining nuances, this model reflects the realities of wartime production.
Fully Authentic Engraving
The slide proudly bears the Colt prancing horse marking seen on late-WWII military-issued models—faithfully recreated for collectors who care about historical accuracy.
Chamfered Edges — Just Like the Real Thing
Front and rear slide edges, as well as the receiver front, are chamfered. Why? WWII leather holsters required pistols to be cocked by pressing against the inside of the holster—so edges were softened to prevent scraping. A subtle detail, faithfully preserved.
Correct Trigger Guard Geometry
While blueprints specified a higher “high grip” cut under the trigger guard, wartime machine limitations at COLT resulted in a gentler radius. This model reproduces that historically accurate contour—rather than the later 1960s revised shape.
19 Slide Serrations
True to the military model, this pistol features 19 rear serrations—one more than many modern commercial variants.
Period-Correct Resin Grips
During WWII, grips were produced from Bakelite due to material shortages. In tribute to that reality, this model deliberately uses resin grips rather than wood.
Updated Second Production Enhancements (July 2022)
The second production batch introduced refinements for even greater realism and durability:
