Produced by KSC Corporation, this model reinterprets the iconic 92-series design with a straight backstrap frame and ultra-thin grip panels. Unlike the traditionally wide grip associated with high-capacity service pistols, the Vertec configuration offers a noticeably slimmer feel and reduced trigger reach, improving handling and control.
 
Additional refinements—including a redesigned trigger profile and slightly shortened grip reach—modernize the platform’s ergonomics. The design gained popularity among specialized law enforcement units, including Japanese Special Investigation Teams (SIT), due to its improved controllability and adaptability when wearing gloves.
