The KSC Airsoft P226R Standard Gas Blowback Pistol Heavy Weight Slide is an interpretation of the classic service pistol, returning to the slimmer original-style grip configuration requested by enthusiasts.
Manufactured by KSC Corporation, this model recreates the feel of earlier P226R variants before the adoption of thicker rubber grips. The included slimmer grip profile offers a more traditional handling experience, while an internal grip weight enhances overall balance and delivers a deeper, more resonant recoil sensation.
Built to HW (Heavy Weight) specification, the slide and frame provide substantial mass and realism. Internally, it retains the proven System 7 blowback engine, known for efficient gas consumption, crisp cycling, and stable semi-automatic performance. The dedicated frame design is specifically matched to the included grip, ensuring proper fit and authentic ergonomics.

The original P226 was developed by SIG Sauer in the 1980s for the U.S. military’s XM9 pistol trials.
Although it ultimately lost the contract to the Beretta 92F, the P226 gained widespread adoption by military and law enforcement units worldwide.
The “R” designation in P226R refers to the integrated accessory rail added to the frame for mounting lights or lasers.
