The Tanaka Airsoft M29CB 4”HW Ver.3 Gas Revolver is a highly detailed reproduction of the classic Smith & Wesson M29 Counterbored variant.
 
The original “counterbored” (or recessed cylinder) models featured chambers machined so that the cartridge rims sat flush within the cylinder—an iconic characteristic of earlier production revolvers. This model faithfully recreates that stepped cylinder design, along with carefully refined details such as the ratchet, clearly distinguishing it from the standard M29 version.
 
Chambered in .44 Magnum in its real-steel form, the M29 became legendary in the 1970s, known for its power and unmistakable presence. This airsoft version captures that era’s styling with period-correct coloring, markings, and engravings. The well-balanced 4-inch barrel offers excellent handling and classic proportions.
 
Internally, the upgraded Ver.3 Pegasus system delivers improved power consistency and greater resistance to temperature fluctuations. Constructed from heavyweight resin combined with zinc die-cast components, the revolver provides a realistic weight and solid feel in hand.
