Introducing the Tokyo Marui AKX Gas Blowback Rifle, a modernized custom variant of the gas blowback AKM platform. This updated configuration combines the classic appeal of the AK series with contemporary ergonomics and enhanced modularity. The design features an improved grip for superior handling, strategically positioned control levers that can be operated with the trigger finger, and a compact, easy-to-manage profile thanks to the short barrel and proprietary stock system.
 
Powerful Blowback Action
The AKX utilizes a dedicated blowback engine featuring a large piston of approximately 19 mm in diameter. The bolt cycles in synchronization with firing, producing a strong and realistic recoil sensation that enhances operational immersion and feedback.
 
Authentic Operation
True to the mechanics of the original platform, the charging handle functions to chamber the first round. When the magazine is empty, the bolt remains locked back, replicating the behavior of real-world firearms for an authentic operating experience.
 
Compact Short-Barrel Configuration
The model features an 8.7-inch aluminum barrel optimized for maneuverability and handling. A three-port muzzle brake, precision-machined from aluminum, is included as standard equipment. Removing the muzzle brake enables the attachment of muzzle accessories with 14 mm reverse-thread compatibility, such as suppressors and other options.
 
M-LOK Rail System
The handguard is constructed from rigid, machined aluminum and incorporates the modern M-LOK modular rail system. This design allows accessories to be mounted only where needed, maintaining a streamlined and ergonomic profile. Three M-LOK rail segments (3-slot, 5-slot, and 7-slot) with a 20 mm Picatinny interface are included and can be installed or removed using the provided hex wrench.
Upper Rail – Standard Equipment
A continuous 20 mm Picatinny rail extends from the handguard to the receiver cover, enabling the installation of optical sights and other accessories. A newly developed locking mechanism stabilizes the receiver cover and eliminates alignment inconsistencies caused by movement. Tightening the centering dial secures the cover and automatically aligns the rail for consistent sighting.
Front and Rear Sights
The front sight is adjustable both vertically and horizontally using the dedicated adjustment tool. For compatibility with optical sights, a foldable backup rear sight is integrated into the rear section of the receiver rail.
 
Folding Stock
The folding stock features a convex skeleton design that facilitates smooth upward and downward muzzle movement. It is detachable and mounts securely to the receiver using a 20 mm Picatinny interface. The stock body is constructed from reinforced polymer, and the base includes QD sling attachment points compatible with optional QD sling swivels.
 
Die-Cast Aluminum Magazine
A 35-round die-cast aluminum magazine reproduces the appearance and weight of traditional Bakelite-style magazines while offering durable construction and realistic handling characteristics.
