The Tokyo Marui M&P9 V Custom Gas Blowback Pistol joins the gas blowback lineup with a distinctive Flat Dark Earth (FDE) finish and hybrid night sights designed for clear target acquisition in both bright and low-light environments. Built on the gas blowback M&P 9 platform, this version represents a 9 mm style variant equipped with a manual thumb safety.
 
The model has been recreated with high accuracy based on measurements and reference molds taken in the United States. Its overall shape, dimensions, surface textures, and engravings closely replicate the appearance of the original firearm.
 
Background of the M&P Series
Introduced in 2005, the M&P (Military & Police) handgun series marked a major shift for Smith & Wesson as the company sought to redefine its handgun lineup. Named after the company’s historic revolver line, the M&P was designed for large-scale adoption by military and law enforcement organizations.
 
Although it entered the polymer-frame pistol market later than some competitors, the M&P platform quickly gained strong acceptance among professional users and continues to grow in popularity within the civilian market.
 
Tactical Flat Dark Earth Finish
The slide, frame, and magazine bumper feature a Flat Dark Earth (FDE) color scheme inspired by modern tactical equipment used in desert environments such as those found in the Middle East.
 
Hybrid Night Sights
The pistol comes equipped with hybrid night sights. These sights combine a vertical light-gathering fiber dot for high visibility in daylight with a phosphorescent dot that glows in low light after absorbing ambient light. This design allows clear sight alignment in a wide range of lighting conditions.
 
Large-Diameter Cylinder
A large 15 mm diameter cylinder stores both firing and blowback gas, providing stable shooting performance along with a strong and satisfying blowback recoil.
 
Ambidextrous Controls
Both the slide stop and thumb safety are ambidextrous, allowing operation from either the left or right side of the pistol. This makes the handgun comfortable to use regardless of the shooter’s dominant hand.
 
Adjustable Palm Swell Grip
Three interchangeable palm swell inserts (S/M/L) are included, allowing users to customize the grip size. The palm swell is installed at the rear of the grip and helps improve comfort and control.
